I used to CRINGE so hard at the LinkedIn influencers

I mean…remember this meme from a few weeks ago?

LinkedIn

There is a bit of shame & awkwardness associated with posting on LinkedIn. The posts come across as too salesy, overly braggy, or even a tad ‘know it all-ish’ instead of valuable thought leadership.

And yes there are still those LinkedIn influencers who churn out viral click-bait content that might you snicker or roll your eyes scrolling through your feed…

However, I have started to shift my perspective on how I use LinkedIn for my career. In the past, I mainly used it to announce job updates — fairly straightforward. As I have transitioned into startups and technology, I have discovered that LinkedIn is a gold mine of opportunities beyond mediocre updates.

My focus has pivoted towards creating and sharing valuable content that educates and inspires others in my industry.

LinkedIn is the professional big sister of Instagram and Tiktok. It’s a chance to truly leverage your network, reach a broader audience, and establish yourself as an emerging, promising leader in your field.

If you are not levearging posting on LinkedIn — you are missing out on a major opportunity here.

Yes, it may be cringe at first — but after 100 posts you will forget all about that!

Have you ever encountered a LinkedIn post that made you cringe, or perhaps one that inspired you?
